The Muskellunge, or Muskie, is a larger relative of the Northern Pike. Its size makes the Muskellunge a bit harder to catch than the Northern Pike. The Muskie will eat anything as long as it fits in its mouth. They eat crayfish, frogs, ducklings, snakes, and small mammals, as well as fish. Because of their low populations, anglers are strongly encouraged to release a Muskie if they catch it.
